I should be able to import the datasets in /my-data/ directly into a tool I want to use
In the /my-data/ page, when I click on a dataset like "medals.csv", I'd like to see a popup menu asking menu which tool I want to use it with (OpenRefine/RStudio/Zeppelin/Jupyter). Whichever I choose, it should automatically open a notebook with the correct import command. E.g., it show create a new notebook containing
import pandas as pd
medals = pd.read_csv("correctpath/medals.csv")6 votes -

Informative message for waking up a DSWB
In awaking message after hibernate, I just see that my DSWB is awaking up and it takes 30 minutes. but I dont know why it has been hibernated. As a user, I should know why my notebook has hibernated. My suggestion is a message like: "Because you have not used your DSWB for long time (1 month) your noteboook has hibernated. Now we are restoring/awaking it up again for you which takes 30 minutes"

The dog messages (update and broken DSWB) are not look good, these can be designed better.
I think it should be designed more professionally.

Add OpenCV Support
It would be great to have OpenCV built into this.

Search should jump to the right cell
If I use the search and click to the result it only open the Notebook and not the line or cell with the search result.
I still need to use the browser search to find the right line.Thanks,

Access Developed Model via Web Services
Hi All,
As a feature request I would like to request that the tool or model built through the Data Scientist Workbench to be accessible through web service and API calls.
I compare this solution to Microsoft Azure's Machine Learning Studio and they have a nice feature called "Publish Web Services". This allows the data scientist to share their model to accept user's data and return prediction. This fits nicely to the direction of anything as a service.
Thanks,

Allow logging in with email instead of user id
It is now very common on the web to be able to log in to a service with email instead of a user id. Ideally, Data Scientist Workbench should allow users to login with either user id or email.

"My Notebooks" menu contents should be different
Once I am in my workbench, at the top menu, I see "My Notebooks". Its contents should be something like:
Recent notebooks > {List of three most recent notebooks}
Create a new notebook > Python/Spark/R...or something like that. I don't think people are likely to choose from the current options of:
-"Download Everything" (what does this even mean?)
-"Download All Notebooks"
-"Logout" (why is this option here?)0 votes -

Start my Jupyter notebooks (and other tools) immediately
Right now it takes 2-3 minutes (and sometimes even longer) to start Jupyter and other tools in my Workbench. This is too long and causes loss of productivity. It wuld be good if my tools started right away (few seconds) rather than few minutes.

Pointer to getting started and tutorials on homepage
Reported by Paul Zikopolous:
I found it odd to have tutorials under My Notebooks -- since I never created one so I never went there, but I see it now. But something to consider - why not put a link on the main page0 votes
