Tell me what features I am getting with a new update
When I get the popup to "Update My Workbench", I want to immediately see what I am updating in the popup window. What new features will I get?

I need an option to copy path of my file/dataset in "My Data"
I have to concatenate "/resource/data" and "file name" every time I need to use a dataset in my notebook. It would be great if I had "Copy Path" in "My Data"

How do I use or import the data that I uploaded to the /my-data page?
I just uploaded some data to /my-data/. How can I use it in Jupyter, Zeppelin, OpenRefine, or RStudio IDE now?

I should be able to import the datasets in /my-data/ directly into a tool I want to use
In the /my-data/ page, when I click on a dataset like "medals.csv", I'd like to see a popup menu asking menu which tool I want to use it with (OpenRefine/RStudio/Zeppelin/Jupyter). Whichever I choose, it should automatically open a notebook with the correct import command. E.g., it show create a new notebook containing
import pandas as pd
medals = pd.read_csv("correctpath/medals.csv")6 votes -
Display usage info within the My Data section
The "My Data" section should show how much disk space is being used, versus the available quota. Both in absolute terms and as a percentage.

I'd like to see video lectures within a notebook so I can type and run code while I watch lectures
Every online course on programming tells me to download a notebook and run it on Continuum.io (Jupyter). Why can't I watch a video and practice coding at the same time? I'd like to be able to have a notebook open so I can try coding while I watch a video lecture. Better yet, there are many meetup recordings out there on programming, data science, and big data. I wish I could rewatch them with a notebook open -- all in the same interface.

Can we have terminal (or QT terminal in ipython)? That would also solve the "Add basic file/directory management" problem.

I want to be able to "Auto Update" and also have "Update Notifications" on my preferences
There are 2 scenarios:
1) I don't want to wait for updating every time that an update is available. So, it would be nice to have an option for "Auto Update". So, my DSWB get updated automatically once there is a new update, so I don't have to click on "Update Workbench" every time.2) I don't want my DSWB to get updated automatically. I also want to skip the update message that is shown when I open my DSWB. But, I need an "Update Notification" somewhere to show me that there is an update available, so I can click…

Equivalent of screen command in bash
Maybe there is a way to do that and I didn't find it but an option that allows the user to detach and re attach to a running script would be welcome.
I would love to be able to disconnect while a long script is running during he night and access it agin in the morning.4 votes -
benchmark to kaggle script
learn something from kaggle script function, especially public data set
of course i prefer use dswb to kaggle script, because dswb is more flexible

Informative message for waking up a DSWB
In awaking message after hibernate, I just see that my DSWB is awaking up and it takes 30 minutes. but I dont know why it has been hibernated. As a user, I should know why my notebook has hibernated. My suggestion is a message like: "Because you have not used your DSWB for long time (1 month) your noteboook has hibernated. Now we are restoring/awaking it up again for you which takes 30 minutes"

The dog messages (update and broken DSWB) are not look good, these can be designed better.
I think it should be designed more professionally.

Notify me when my workbench finishes awakening from hibernation
I'd like an e-mail or something to tell me when my account is back up from hibernation, because it takes a long time to wake up (30min).

Logos on left sidebar of DSWB aren't very nice
The logos for Juypter, Zeppelin and RStudio look inconsistent and unprofessional. The previous version was better.
