How can we improve Jupyter Notebooks in the IBM | Data Scientist Workbench?

  1. Unable access the Jupyter Notebook and Theia environment

    Unable to access any Lab in course from course 5 in this certification. My subscription is going to be end soon. There is more than one week the problem does not fixed yet and I am fed up with this course and lost my money for this useless course

  3. Jupyter Notebook environmental issues

    Dear help desk,

    I am facing alot of issues while working on jupyter notebooks, after running a few commands the ui is stuck which forces the user to referesh the screen and the same thing happens after executing a few commands.

    This issue applies to R Studio, Zeeplin notebooks as well

  4. Sidebar for the management and uploads should be on the left side

    It is a bit strange to see the side bar on the right. Common convention is to have it on the left of the notebook.

  6. Unable to access Jupyter notebook in Cognitive labs examples from Coursera

    Hi, I cannot access Jupyter Notebook in the Skills Network virtual lab environment available through Coursera. Looking at the other posts, I reckon it's not an issue just for me. Plese fix. Thank you.

  7. IBM skills

    I keep getting the error (see attached) stating that my account is under deletion, and I have had this error for 3 months without any resolution.

    I have tried contacting support, I have message 1 every month since the error first showed, and there has been absolutely no response. The service has been appalling, no one has acknowledge messages and my assignments have been overdue because of this. The service needs to be far better, support is not good enough at all.

    I am unable to access this site. I have cleared and cleaned my cookies and stuff, but it tells me the following;

  9. Can't open Jupyter Notebooks from the Coursera Data Science course on skills Network Lab. Keeping getting a "500 Internal Server Error".

    I tried click on "Jupyterlab" from the menu on the left of the screen and it said he could recognize what site I was coming from.

  10. Missing all Lab Files

    I am not able to find files (Jupyter Notebooks) under lab section on Jupyter Lab.

    It says:
    Cannot openCould not find path: /labs/DV0101EN/DV0101EN-1-1-1-Introduction-to-Matplotlib-and-Line-Plots-py-v2.0.ipynb

    Also all the previous files are missing from labs directory.
    How can I practice, if I do not get the jupyter files with exercises in it. There were other directories too, from other courses.
    Please restore everything for me.

  11. Once I open "See all notebooks" or "See all data", I can never close the tab again

    In the sidebar, if I click on "See all notebooks" or "See all data", it opens a new tab called "Search - type notebook".

    Once this is opened, there is no way to close it.

  12. Actively running notebook sometimes get oddly moved to "Recent Data"

    Happens in Python (not sure about R), but sometimes when I am running a cell, as it is processing, the notebook in the sidebar "jumps" from "Recent Notebooks" to "Recent Data". The kernel remains active.

    I will try to post a sample script that is reproducible, but right now this issue appears very inconsistently.

  14. Jupyter notebook doesn't connect to the kernel

    Jupyter notebook when opened in labs for TEnsorflow training, the kernel is not connected and keeps retrying to connect to the kernel.
    I think the kernel is an IBM system and it is blocked from the websense of my organization network.
    Can you please provide the URL for the kernel so that I can raise a request to my IT team to bypass the URL/domain(s) so as to connect to the kernel successfully.
    Please supply the complete url containing the domain and subdomains, specifically.

  16. OAuth2 server asks for empty permissions

    I ran into this small usability issue. When I logged in with my user (cangiano) the OAuth2 server asked me to approve special permissions, only to fail to show me the list of required permissions. Clicking "Allow" lets you through, but it might be confusing for some users. Furthermore the "Save Consent" option doesn't appear to actually save the consent at the next login.

  17. Registration page is shown after a user just registered

    This is a small usability issue. After clicking on the link within the confirmation email, and setting a password for the first time, the user is finally registered. The page however will redirect him or her to /register after having just completed their registration. The desired outcome would be a redirect to the homepage (if the user session is kept) or to the login page (if it's not).
