## CSET Preparation

*(The content posted here may not be up to date. Please see the latest General Catalog for current degree requirements.)*

Students pursuing a California mathematics or foundational-level mathematics single-subject teaching credential may elect either the B.A. or B.S. program. In addition to earning a degree, students must show subject matter competency by passing the CSET (California Subject Exams for Teachers) in mathematics. Contact the Mathematics Credential Coordinator, Dr. Dennis Parker at dparker@pacific.edu for additional credential requirements. Below are the recommended coursework options for the B.A. and the B.S.

Students planning to earn a degree and a teaching credential through the University of the Pacific simultaneously are required to take certain professional education courses during their undergraduate years. Visit the Single Subject Credential web page in the Bernard School of Education to learn about options for mathematics.

Contact Marilyn Draheim in Benerd College or Dennis Parker in the Mathematics Department for details about the course requirements.
