Make builting workbench faster and more predictable
I have been trying to built the work bench for the past hour. The page will just log me out and then ask me to login again. When i do, it just starts building workbench again in a seemingly endless cycle.
We have a new process for provisioning workbenches. The process is both faster and more reliable. While this is significant progress we are not done yet. Workbench provisioning is only going to get faster.

It took 15 minutes to provision the workbench today.
Would it make sense to turn provisioning of the workbench into a non-blocking request?

in the current architecture, when you get a workbench, we spin up a virtual machine on the cloud. As you would expect, provisioning virtual machine takes time. Also, we do find there is some of variability in the time it takes. For some it can take less than ten minutes and for others it can take, in the worst case, hours.
The good news is that in our new architecture, we will not be spinning up VMs. As a result, we expect the provisioning process to be cut down to about 10-20 seconds and we also expect it to be much more predictable. -

still building workbench after 12 hours. how do you open a ticket?

In most cases your environment will be ready in 15 minutes. However there are a few instances in which it can take up to a few hours to be ready. Please wait a few hours and if it still doesn't work for you, please feel free to open a ticket with us.

Same thing for me, after logging in it is just stuck on "building workbench..." and I cannot proceed. Will give it a few hours to see if it clears up.
