  3. availability of other video format asides HD

    there should be an option for selecting our prefferred video quality of the videos in the module.
    The only option that exists right now is HD, and for some course participants like me, watching in HD format may incur heavy data fees.

  4. correct the description of the range() function and type

    The instruction refers to the "range object." Why not just say (more precisely) that the range type amounts to an (ordered) sequence of integers, and the range() function generates such sequences? This is computer programming. We can be fully exact from the git go. We don't have to gloss or approximate these little truths for the sake of simplification or summarization.

  5. There is a slight mistake in the "lab-condition branching" code.

    hi
    just to let you know that there is mistake in the "Lab-Conditions and Branches.
    the variable is an integer type and the one given in the condition statement is of string type.

  7. Question for the instructor

    My "ML0101EN-Reg-Polynomial-Regression-Co2-py-v1" exercise equation is:
    yy = clf3.intercept[0]+ clf3.coef[0][1]XX+ clf3.coef_[0][2]np.power(XX, 2)+ clf3.coef_[0][3]*np.power(XX, 3)

    The instructor's is:
    yy = clf3.intercept[0]+ clf3.coef[0][1]XX + clf3.coef_[0][2]np.power(XX, 2) + clf3.coef_[0][2]*np.power(XX, 3)

    Note especially "clf3.coef_[0][2]*np.power(XX, 3)" is this correct?

  8. Beaker notebook

    Please see the possibility of adding Beaker notebook. It will be amazing to use different languages in the same notebook without loosing focus on the analysis at hand.

  10. Clicking on filename in My Data should show a list of actions, not download

    When I click on the filepath, I don't expect to download it. I hope to see a dropdown list of actions I can do, including copy filepath.

  12. Vague question about range function

    The question says, 'Write a for loop the prints out all the element between -5 and 5 using the range function.' You should specify whether the between includes or excludes the lower and upper bounds. English does not have separate words for each of the four possible cases, so using one word for all four cases creates ambiguity that leads to four possible correct answers.

  13. I suggest you require prerequisites before allowing anybody to enroll in this program

    Taking the data science classes by anybody unfamiliar with any of the basic programs used during this course makes no sense. It's monumentally frustrating trying to figure out the basics like this:
    Exercise 3: (Jupyter notebook)
    2. From the menu, click on "Insert", then "Insert Cell Above" or "Insert Cell Below".; While it's clear how to insure one or the cells, it's difficult to figure out how to enter the second now.
    3. Note you can use the keyboard shortcuts: [a] - Insert a Cell Above; [b] - Insert a Cell Below. Really? What am I suppose to click on??????

  18. [BD211EN] Typo in filepath

    In the excercise BD211EN, the path used in the document is: "/resources/jupyter/labs/BD0211EN/"

    However the actual path is:
    /resources/jupyterlabs/labs/BD0211EN/

  19. "My Notebooks" menu contents should be different

    Once I am in my workbench, at the top menu, I see "My Notebooks". Its contents should be something like:
    Recent notebooks > {List of three most recent notebooks}
    Create a new notebook > Python/Spark/R

    ...or something like that. I don't think people are likely to choose from the current options of:
    -"Download Everything" (what does this even mean?)
    -"Download All Notebooks"
    -"Logout" (why is this option here?)

  20. Pointer to getting started and tutorials on homepage

    Reported by Paul Zikopolous:
    I found it odd to have tutorials under My Notebooks -- since I never created one so I never went there, but I see it now. But something to consider - why not put a link on the main page
