I would like to see the ability to display Spatial Data on a map. Points/Polygons/Locations/Distances/Clustering etc.
There needs to be a service that can display large data sets on a map. This service would be similar in nature to the application QGIS. The elements that should be able to be displayed would be point locations/polygons/line of points etc. Colors should be able to be assigned to different types of data based on criteria specified. An example is attached.122 votes
I've been getting 502 Bad Gateway Errors these errors for well over a year doing labs on cognitiveclass.ai and now through Coursera. You think someone would have fixed it by now - especially given the number of people enrolled in the various data science classes offered.61 votes

Caravel's main goal is to make it easy to slice, dice and visualize data. It empowers users to perform analytics at the speed of thought.
-A quick way to intuitively visualize datasets by allowing users to create and share interactive dashboards
-A rich set of visualizations to analyze your data, as well as a flexible way to extend the capabilities46 votes

Hello. I guess that would be nice to have a Cheat Sheet Tool embedded in the Data Scientist Workbench. One example of an online tool that I use is https://www.cheatography.com. There are many Cheat Sheet available, but it's always good to be able to create your own Cheat Sheet with things you believe is relevant for your study/research.42 votes
Every online course on programming tells me to download a notebook and run it on Continuum.io (Jupyter). Why can't I watch a video and practice coding at the same time? I'd like to be able to have a notebook open so I can try coding while I watch a video lecture. Better yet, there are many meetup recordings out there on programming, data science, and big data. I wish I could rewatch them with a notebook open -- all in the same interface.38 votes

It seems that your tutorials mostly miss the mark (at least for me). I was really interested in SeaHorse, I was able to run the first regression tutorial, saw the gears spin, but don't see any results. All I can do is download the workflow. There are various modules in the workflow, but no description of what they do or why they are there. There are lots of other modules in the toolbox, but no real indication of how to use them. Under regression, there are lots of variations, again with no description. Going to the Documentation link it threw a 404 error. And this was one of the more satisfying experiences. There was even less user support for the other tools in the Data Scientist Workbench.

Upload notebooks from a local drive.15 votes
Currently there are two ways to upload notebooks in BDU Labs:
1. Open My Data in the sidebar. Use the “Upload Data” feature. There is a known limitation of only being able to upload within /resources/data, but Jupyter will still recognize any ipynb you upload as a notebook.
2. Alternately, open Jupyter. After it opens, drag and drop your notebook from a file window (e.g Windows Explorer or Mac Finder) into your browser. It will upload the notebook and flash messages at the top of the screen while doing so.
I appreciate that these options can be a little obscure. We’re always reviewing ways to make the user experience in BDU Labs simpler and more intuitive.
